These are the 11 most beautiful drawings that children (and their parents) sent to Friesch Dagblad for the Christmas drawing competition

Over the past two weeks, the mailbox and mailbox at Friesch Dagblad have been inundated with cheerful Christmas drawings for the annual Christmas drawing competition. The task was to draw something on the theme of “luxury”. The children have filled this very creatively, with hearts, the birth of Jesus Christ and especially with being together.

The novelty is that this time, in addition to primary schools, we also invited grandparents and parents to send Christmas art to their children (grandchildren). This did not fall on deaf ears. Most of the drawings we received came from a proud family. And not unfairly. Many of the drawings that get honorable mention here come from parents and grandparents.

However, award winners in three age groups were among the entries from the schools. We were allowed to receive thick envelopes from some schools and teachers gave children a lot of freedom to interpret “luxury” in their own way.

From 4 to 6 years

The first prize for the youngest child goes to the six-year-old pellet who goes to Albertine Agnes School (Ambione) in Orangood. Miss Mariette Stael provided a particularly colorful starting point by having the children draw objects with dark paint on a watercolor background that reminded them of “luxury.” Billy thought mainly of hearts, but also of presents, the Christmas tree and glitter.

Ettje Tigchelaar made a beautiful drawing of the six-year-old Fuk Who made a real scene, but also for his age, a Christmas scene detailed with marker, pencil and pen. The last honorable mention in the junior group goes to four-year-old Thys, who is the youngest participant in the competition. The nice thing is that he got involved through his sponsorship outside De Slotschool, part of IKC De Slotschool, in Sint Annaparochie (CBO Noardwest Fryslân). he-goat His drawing was appropriately called “hilarious” and when we saw the drawing, we could imagine something about it.

From 7 to 10 years old

Become a middle school winner Marit (8 years old) with her beautiful and detailed drawing of the baby Jesus. Marit He goes to school at PCBO By de Boarne in Boornbergum (PCBO Smallingerland). Her drawing made us very happy, complete with the animals in the stable. Sent Froukje Jongsma, group teacher 5/6 in graphics.

There are three other graphics we’d like to honorably mention in this category. First of all, this is a ten-year-old’s drawing Anarchist Provided by Margriet Weststeijn-Stienstra. It’s a drawing with a story. Annarixt is this Christmas holiday, with her family, specifically in New Zealand where her uncle lives. This means Christmas with temperatures around twenty degrees and ice cream in hand. If this does not make you feel comfortable?

Another honorable mention to all sons Group 4 from IKC Prince Maurits in Leeuwarden. And Miss Petra ended with a “It’s my pleasure” candle. The candle reminds us of others. The people you care about. Candle gives us a feeling of comfort.

Finally, we would like to publish the ten-year-old’s drawing Lindy From PCBO By de Boarne. Her ornaments tell a whole story about Christmas.

11 and 12 years old

Most of the drawings are made by older children. So it was difficult to choose, but the winner also comes from Boornbergum here, the 11-year-old until which goes to PCBO By de Boarne. Her drawing is full of detail such as birds in the sky, Santa Claus in a sleigh with reindeer and displays in the chimney.

With so many drawings in this age group, we have three honorable mentions in this category. The first is for eleven years Younes which goes to the IKC Prince Maurits in Leeuwarden. He painted a beautiful winter picture with two snowmen ‘strong together’.

Joukje van Abbema sent a very cool drawing made by the eleven year old seabrich With a clear message: “Celebrate Christmas together!”.

The last drawing we don’t want to leave unmentioned is of the twelve year old Els From Holwerd’s SLS de Tijstream. The teacher Tine Rienks from Group 8 also let the children completely free. Ilse has made three dolls that bring the world together.

The three winners will receive a package of children’s books by Boekhandel van der Velde. Congratulations to all of the award winners and a big thank you to everyone for the lovely entries. We hope to see you next year!
