What will my CITO score be? Will I get the flu this winter? Will I have a brother or sister? Unfortunately, this cannot be predicted in advance. In short: Where chance comes into play, large numbers help create order out of chaos. Mathematician Sonia Cox (University of Amsterdam) explains why during the NEMO Lecture for Kids on November 20. The Monthly Children’s Lecture is specifically for children between the ages of 8 and 12 and takes place at the Nemo Science Museum in Amsterdam. Parents and carers are also very welcome.
