Together with your colleague, you focus on existing donors (companies, organizations and individuals) who still have huge potential to develop further. That’s why we’re looking for an extra colleague! This is a tough job for an experienced, enthusiastic, and bold Relationship Manager who knows how to get things done.

main responsibilities;

  • Develop and implement strategies and action plans in relation to the preservation, promotion and redemption of special gifts among companies, organizations and individuals. Good collaboration with Relationship Managers with your fellow acquisition team.
  • Maintain and deepen existing relationships to maintain commitment to MSF.
  • Proactively identify projects that appeal to your relationships and translate them into fundraising proposals.
  • Preparing and implementing various strategic projects, including improving customer journeys.
  • Create personal account plans for donors to better meet their needs and increase their participation.
  • Drafting proposals and reports on MSF’s work for the donor portfolio.
  • Reporting, monitoring and evaluating the implemented activities.
  • Maintain contact with other departments within MSF which can contribute to the relationship with our donors.

who are you;

  • Experienced Professional with at least HBO Business and Thinking Level
    And at least 3 years of experience in relationship management. It is an advantage if this is within the charitable sector.
  • You are a business career/woman, data-driven and results-oriented. Never lose sight of quality, ethics and long-term relationship.
  • You are good at separating major and side issues based on impact and can manage a wide range of relationships.
  • You are an actor, a social chameleon: able to make good connections and the ability to connect with very diverse people of different backgrounds, ages and interests.
  • You are very strong in communication, both verbally and in writing. You can find out attractively, both individually and in front of large groups.
  • You have a real interest in the content of our work and the projects we implement in different countries.
  • Your organizational sensitivity is critical to being successful within this complex international nonprofit organization.
  • Proficiency in both Dutch and English both in writing and in word is essential for this position.

The Communications and Fundraising department consists of +/- 35 colleagues divided into teams based on objectives with different expertise: fundraising, relationship management, communications and media, content creation, social media management, customer relationship management, data analysis, project management, and event management , and the public.
